Be Anxious for Nothing

I suffered from severe anxiety most of my life. I had panic attacks which came so often and so unexpected, I was terrified. One day a friend introduced me to Norman Vincent Peale's book, "The Power of Positive Thinking". That book radically changed my life. I learned I was scaring myself with my negative thoughts; my 'what ifs', my fear of the unknown. Through Norman's words, I learned that God doesn't want us to live in fear. I started paying attention to what I was saying to myself in my head and whenever I thought a negative thought, I immediately replaced it with a positive one. It worked.
