Dear Lord, I pray for the people of the Philippines who have been affected by the super typhoon Haiyan/Yolanda that just recently passed thru the Visayan Islands. Pls. help them keep the faith and not fall into despair. Pls. console our brothers who have lost their properties and homes and most esp. those who lost their loved ones. I know you do not forsake your people O Lord. We invoke that you keep them close to your heart.
I also pray that you may touch the hearts of those in power and in the gov't. that they may be enlightened that to take interest in these material relief donations pouring in from nations helping is WRONG and UNCHRISTIAN; to deprive those suffering and in need of help will be a grievous offense. It had been inherent in most officials to pocket profits and material things they can make money from. Let them be touched that the Lord would want them to help their suffering countrymen. This we ask in Jesus name. AMEN.
