Prayer Request
Please keep me in your prayers. I am a single mother of a 10 year old boy who has mental health issues. He is in a special education class. Because he has disabilities. Over this last school year he has a few terrible meltdowns, which he got suspended for. Two weeks ago I received a letter from juvenile Probation Department.
I believe in my opinion the school is pressing charges against my 10 year old son. We will finally get to meet tomorrow July 16th. With the the probation officer. I am scared and nervous. I ask that you pray for me to keep my patience, and give me the right words to stand up for my son. Guide me through this matter. And protect both of us from the evil one. As we walk through a territory of the unknown. Thank you so much!

Jessica my name is logged in under my 12 year old sons name he is 12 his name is trapper I am Helen. I was really moved by your prayer request because my son starting struggling with depression/anxiety shortly after my dad passed away. I live in a black and white world there are no shades of grey and when it comes to speaking to ANYONE do not look at them as authority figures. YOU are the authority figure when it comes to your child's safety and well being. I guess u can say I've probably been put on the troublesome parent list where we live because I dont take nonsense from anyone. I've called the superintendent and his assistant always trys to get me to leave a message and I say I'm going to call over and over and over again until you get him on the phone so dont waste our time. He was on the phone in 15 seconds. In my OPINION school has become somewhat of a bootcamp. When our children are at school the school officials seem to think they have control and make the decisions. Well they dont. You make the decisions in how your son is treated in certain situations and steps that u want them to follow set up by you. So I was curious if u knew about the 504 plan. I'm guessing u have but if your son struggles with any disABILITY and I emphasize ability because kids are great they are gifts from god and his mother you have a divine right to protect him and the honest truth is I've researched the laws not just in the state I live in but all over the country the school Has Do do the care plan u set up for him. Say he gets agitated give them a chance to attempt to calm him or remove him from other students so he can breathe second may be to read a book or discuss things he enjoys and redirect his attention and so and and so forth but make one of those stipulations that u are contacted when the other attempts fail. Do not take bull from anyone. Do not let schools threaten you make u feel afraid of family services they have no pull that can honestly hurt your family. When I pick up my kids for appts you know they have a sign out sheet and under where it says reason why I put BECAUSE I CAN. Flat out even when they are inside that building I have the final say they follow what I've set in place which is why I hope u know about the 504 plan its state mandated and you set the steps youd like them to take if your son has any anxiety or becomes upset and if they dont follow those steps you can sue the state and nothing can stand agaisnt a state mandated plan...nothing at all. Dont worry ever about what to say. Say what comes from your heart for your child. If youd like to talk any more my number is 307 251 1502. I'll add you to my prayer box but please know kids with disABILITYS are extremely gifted and he shouldn't be treated any different then the most behaved child in the school with the exception of extra care where needed. I have a few personal stories that sent me on this mission to find answers on what as parents we have rights to and legally where we stand. I hope u get a notification that I've responded in know July 16th is over but I feel I maybe can help u and if anything atleast be supportive. Lots of love from my family to yours.
Or our kids have seemed to be inconveniences maybe was a better word. Either way please reach out to me if you need any support on the state protection the laws and things that should be being done instead of punishment. Kids start to become untrusting of the adults they get anxious and in school terms act out more but my son explained to me one day he feels trapped at school because theres no adult he can turn to and ask to call me when I can talk him out of anxiety attacks remind him I'll be there early waiting for him to get out of school etc but he literally had night terrors because sleeping makes time go by fast so school came the next day. I really hope you've found peace this really weighs on my heart even if your meeting went well what's to say what's going to happen next?
Heavenly Father we just come today just want to thank you for this beautiful blessed day we just want to come in agreements with your daughter and just say that she has won the victory over this situation with her child. 🙏God we know that you are the way the truth and the life no light coming through you so we are putting it in your hands right now. Father God to just stand in the presence of you. Father God and just letting her know that you with her guiding her and strength her all the way. Father God in the name of Jesus we claim it so in the name of Jesus we give you Honor we give you Glory and give you Praise because it all belongs to you Father God in the name of Jesus it is done. Counseling session are going great. I am learning new tools as a single mother. And my son has learned some new breathing techniques he's liking. The 5 senses. I ask him what they are, he names them, than I ask him what do you see, hear,taste,feel,smell. This takes his mind off of what's happening around him. I am getting nervous about the new school year approaching, 4 weeks to school. He will be going back into the Same place the MAPS program. Which I actually feel Father God will open a new door for him. And hopefully going into a day treatment. But that's not in stone yet. Everything has a process and the waiting begins.

If his behavior is related to his disability it is against the law to suspend him from school. Much less any legal consequences. Please call the Disability Law Center. I will be praying that you get all of the spiritual and legal support you need. Our God is able.
Thank you. Yes he has ADHD and bipolar. And for years he only shows feelings of happy or mad. We have a case manager from DDS. Department of Developmental services. I have gotten all the help I could over the years. It was amazing walking into the probation office with our support team. DDS & kairos counseling was there. And my son told the truth that it just wasn't him. There was another student who was involved. I'm so proud of my son. The fact he told everything to the officer. Thank you.

Thank you ALL for your prayers. The meeting went very good. I got him in counseling. And they will close the case. Because of his age and he is only 10 years old this is a warning. I hope he learned something today. And makes better choices. Thank you & much love!

They have special trained staff to assist you and your son in every aspect needed to bring happiness, joy and companionship for you and your son.
