I'm having to do a very difficult thing and cut my mother out of my life, possibly for good. Though she is a Christian, her attitude and personality are so negative, critical, judgmental, and every other negative trait, that I can't be around her anymore, nor can I allow her to affect my life negatively. I'm 43, a Christian of 30 years, and through all my years in therapy for various reasons, this is the hardest move I've ever had to make. I need God's strength and His wisdom to know that even when she gets mad and reacts to this, it is her who must take responsibility for her words and actions, not me.
