Heavenly Father,

In Your grace and mercy, we lift up John Bunch and his daughter, Maya, to You today. Maya, at only 19, has been diagnosed with ALS, a journey that no doubt brings with it fear, uncertainty, and many challenges.

We ask, O Lord, that You envelop Maya in Your healing embrace. Grant her strength in body and spirit, and ease her path as much as it is within Your will. Fill her with hope for each day and the courage to face the challenges that come her way.

For John and the rest of Maya’s family, we pray for unwavering strength, patience, and an abundance of love to support Maya. Bestow upon them Your peace that surpasses all understanding, to guard their hearts and their minds in Christ Jesus. May they find solace in Your presence and in the community that surrounds them.

We ask for wisdom for the medical professionals treating Maya, that they may be guided by Your hand in all decisions and care. Inspire them with compassion and innovation as they work to provide relief and comfort to Maya.

In this difficult time, let John, Maya, and their family feel Your presence more closely than ever before. May they see Your light in the darkest of times, and may their faith in You be a testament to others of Your unfailing love and power.
