I'm an author--and I've lost my focus to finish the novel I started (and lost most of the manuscript to Hurricane Katrina's devastation) 10 years ago. The story is locked in my mind--but because it needs major revision (and I have to re-create 80% of the lost chapters)...I expend so much energy on memory recall, II feel drained as I type more words. Then I get tired of creating my story--so I stop and sleep...and I don't wake up for hours. And when I wake up, I'm still too drained to get back to storytelling. This story deserves a real chance to shine--and I don't want to be the one who dims it. I need to rediscover the JOY of my craft (because I know the PAINS of it).
