One week before thanksgiving, my car was stolen. As the mother of two teenagers, i needn't mention how difficult it is for us-navigating within our daily lives without transportation, with extra curricular activities, etc...I found myself sinking into depression and completely losing sight of what was truly important, and thanks to my friends, faith, the comfort of the holy spirit and the promises of my savior to bring me THROUGH it if he brings me TO it...I was able to refocus and realize that we REMAIN BLESSED and truly had MUCH TO BE THANKFUL FOR...I gave thanks for ALL of my blessings even the ones on the way.
We are facing tough challenges especially as Christmas approaches and like so many others, money is TIGHT, and....WE HAVE NO CAR, but I can't help but smile from time to time knowing that GOD NEVER ALLOWS ANYTHING TO BE TAKEN FROM US, WITHOUT THE INTENTION OF REPLACING IT WITH SOMETHING MUCH BETTER...and I am now able to celebrate Christmas, with the a cheerful spirit, acknowledging the TRUE meaning of it, with my family and friends. I thank God for all that we have and for his most precious gift-HIS SON!
I humbly ask for prayer that we will brave this storm and that my TEST will soon be a TESTIMONY. I know our transportation needs will be met and that we won't always be without a car. I also ask for prayer that I can allow the comfort of the holy spirit to continue to work on my heart in regards to the people that stole and stripped my car!..I am struggling with complete forgiveness!
