Thank you Lord for watching over my Mom.
My Mom was admitted to the hospital on Tuesday; they are working on draining the excess fluid; it is a very slow process; they can't drain the fluids too quickly. They can't tell for sure what the mass in her abdomen is until the excess fluid is drained, but they think it could be ovarian cancer (let's hope not). They also did an ultrasound of her legs. She won't be coming home till Thursday, the earliest.
I know that my Mom is in the best place she can be right now.
Lord, please continue to watch over my Mom. I ask this in Jesus's name. AMEN.
A Thought For Today
Saying thank you may be the two hardest words that friends share. We like to see ourselves as independent and not needing anyone's help. When a friend does something for us, it is difficult to humble ourselves by thanking them. Believe it or not, as strong as your need is to believe yourself independent, your friend may have an even stronger need to hear the words 'thank you'. Your friend will appreciate that he/she is also a contributor to the friendship.
Today, I am saying 'thank you' to my friends and family for your friendship and support.
Lord, I thank you for giving me this day. I thank you for the many blessings you have bestowed upon me. I am really hoping that I will get a certain position that I applied for. You know which position I am speaking of, Lord. Please help the powers that be to see that I am qualified for this position and that I would do a great job in this new role. I trust in you Lord to guide the decision makers and to show them my true talents and dedication. I pray with all my heart that I will be selected, but only if it is your Will, Lord. I ask this in Jesus's name. AMEN.
Thank you Lord for watching over my Mom.
My Mom had the Cat Scan of her abdomen done today; the results showed alot of fluid; even before they got the results from the Cat Scan, they advised her to go to the ER.
They ran more blood tests and a few other tests.
They found a large mass in the abdomen; they are also very concerned about her irregular heart beat, which they said is partly the cause of her difficulty breathing. They are keeping her overnight.
If all goes well, they are hoping to be able to drain the excess fluid out of her sometime today. They also need to find the cause of the rashes she has, which are causing her a great deal of pain.
I am very relieved that she is in the hospital now; I know that she is in the best of care; hopefully, we will know more later today.
Lord, please continue to watch over my Mom. I ask this in Jesus's name. AMEN.
Please continue to keep my Mom in your thoughts and prayers; the results of her blood work came back: sugar is high, white blood count is high (which means she has an infection), blood count is low, kidneys and thyroid are normal; they say that steroids can make sugar and white blood count higher. Also they told her that no clinical infection was found, yet there is an infection. She is going for a Cat Scan on Monday.
Please if anyone you know retains water, tell them NEVER EVER take STEROIDS! The STEROIDS are killing her! The Doctor(s) prescribed STEROIDS to treat bronchial asthma, KNOWING that steroids makes you retain more water! STEROIDS should NEVER have been prescribed since she normally retains water!
She is unable to walk or breathe! Her condition is getting worse, not better.
Lord God, please give her Doctors guidance and wisdom to find the cause of her problems and to help heal them. We ask this in Jesus's name. AMEN
Lord God, I thank you for this day. I thank you for your many blessings. Please forgive me of my sins. I pray that you will heal my Mom. I pray that you lift my depression and that you give me strength and confidence. Lord, as you know, I have applied for a position, which I really hope I will get. I am a hard worker and feel I can really do a good job in this position. Lord, please let them see the good in me. Allow them to see the real me, and help them to realize that I can be an asset to them, if given the opportunity. Lord, I trust that you know what is best for me and I trust your judgement to do what is best. In Jesus's name. AMEN
Lord God, as you know many are undergoing tough economic times; many have lost their homes and their jobs, through no fault of their own. We pray that you will guide our government leaders to finding the right path to recovery. We pray that they will turn to you for guidance, as we know that you Lord have heard our prayers, and have already answered them. AMEN.
Lord God, I ask you to pray for all those that are suffering from the massive flooding in Nashville and Memphis, and surrounding areas. It will be months and possibly years before these areas are back to normal. Many have lost their homes and jobs. They truly are blessed to be alive. Please watch over them and guide them through the challenges they now face. I ask this in the name of Jesus our Lord. AMEN.
Please keep two of my closest friends in your thoughts and prayers. One has had both her parents in and out of the hospital, and her father was given two weeks to live. The other has also been in and out of the hospital and is very weak. Please pray for them and their families. I ask this in the name of Jesus our Lord. AMEN.
Please keep my Mom in your thoughts and prayers; she hasn't been well for several months, and is not improving. She had bronchitis which turned into bronchial asthma, and the Doctor(s) prescribed steroids, knowing that she retains water (note: steroids make you retain even more water); she is now so bloated that she can't walk or breathe. Please if anyone you know retains water, tell them NEVER EVER take STEROIDS!
Submit your prayer request. Thousands of caring people will see it and pray for you.
