Thank you for my health holding up, thank you for no car accidents, thank you for this apartment, thank you for letting me live to be 58 despite my stupidity, thank you for keeping me away from cigarettes, alcohol, and drugs my whole life, thank you for my beautiful, smart, competitive daughter.

Please pray for me; I am 56 years old and unemployed in this economy and I know that I am in big trouble. I have a mortgage that I will probably never finish paying off in my lifetime; I have immense student loans that I will probably never finish paying off in my lifetime. I know that there are other people with the mortgage and student loan problems. I fear that I may be unemployable; I fear that I may wind up homeless.

I was an okay Special Ed. teacher for 13 years; I got fired, quit, or non-renewed. My last job I could have stayed at for the rest of my life, but I managed to get fired there as well.
