Of two minds

My daughter is what the world considers beautiful. But to those that knew her best it seemed most of the beauty was on the outside. Although she seemed to at times be genuinely sweet and effervescent.
We had a lot of problems controlling her. It got so bad that I am embarrassed to admit that there were times I wondered if I had spawned the anti-Christ.
When she got older she experimented with drugs and what was bad even got worse. She would talk to herself and laugh uproariously when no one had said anything. Without going into further detail I will say that she was very hard to be around.
My daughter had reached out to God, then withdrew dozens of times. It was becoming quite the dance to watch. Her struggle with whatever demons haunted her and the call of God on her life.
We tried and tried , prayed and prayed that God would deliver her out of the darkness for good and heal her mind. She could not be convinced to seek medical help.
She had become a single mom at 26 and it was a rollercoaster. I prayed that something would change before my grandson got old enough to see something wasn't right with mommy.
Well God is answering prayers that have been prayed for a very long time. She is now 29 married to a good Christian man who is currently going about adopting my grandson and although sometimes she can get out of sorts. She has stabilized beyond what I had even hoped for .She takes no medication and is just on an all natural mood stabilizer. God is healing her mind and the results are apparent daily.
Glory to God. Only God can create such a positive change of mind and heart .
