Dear Lord in Heaven,
While so many other people are asking miracles of you for their health, my prayer may seem too trivial to you. I have 2 chronic illnesses, and an arthritic back. I am raising my 11 yr. old daughter alone, which is a blesing to me. Mt little girl has been through ALOT in her little life. Things I would never share here, but we have been homeless, broke, had my 'husband' take EVERYTHING from us, including our clothes, her toys, she was just 6 when this happened.I was forced to re-start my life at the age of 47 with NO help. No family, my friends had pretty much given up hope on me, because I kept letting my husband come home, after he'd walk out for anywhere from 6 wks. to 6 months. I was able to work then. He has mental issues, and when he left the last time, he also took my then 11 yr. old son, Kenny with him. It has been 5 YRS., now, on June 13th. I have no resources to find him, he keeps moving him around, he would rather keep him away from me, his mom, and his little sister, than let him be happy. He and I were extremely close, especially the 3 of us. (meaning my little girl, he, and I). No one ever really stops to consider that my daughter has lost her best friend, and she is so sad, yet I tell her miracles happen, and we pray together everynight. The second half of my prayer is that somehow, someway, my daughter gets into this camp, Camp Wahakee, in Winter, Wisconsin. Problem is, we need a referral to get her in, even on a partially paid scholarship. It would make her friends she longs for, experiences shes never had, and a vacation from all of the stress of living with me, as I am pretty much constantly sick. Just a referral, anyone that's been there in the past, or knows of someone. They do have a page on here. They have been in business for 90 years now, and it is Catholic-based. I was raised Catholic, so that is all I know. Perhaps a miracle scholarship? I have no down-payment for them, so it is looking pretty bleak. From what I can see, the kids that go there are pretty well off. My daughter is very, very, artistically talented, and this would boost her self-esteem, more than any therapy ever could.Please Lord, let Megan get the miracle she deserves, it would make meories that would last a life-time! Thank you to anyone who has taken the time to read this, and please pray for my son to be safe, not doing drugs, smoking, or God knows what else. Not a day goes by that he is not thought of, and I remember his laugh, his slate-blue eyes, his smile, his dimple, his one lock of hair that is identical to mine... thank you so much, and God bless you all.
