Please talk to your vet and explain your situation. You never know what compassion they may have in their heart to help you along this journey with your beautiful dog. Vet bills are costly and I've struggled with them as well. Fortunately, my vet has graciously allowed me to make payments on bills during times when I've been unable to pay in full. She has also been gracious enough to offer me a discount during another time. If your vet cannot provide you with such help, perhaps asking another vet in another nearby town to make an exception. I've also heard of older farmer vets providing services for way less than city vets. I'm just thinking creatively to help you save the life of your pet that you've saved the life of once before--from that gas station. Without you, who knows what would have happened. This is your dog. You saved him or her once before and you can do it again by the grace of God. It seems to me that you have rescued each other and need each other.
