There's always the possibility that God has not put your desires and Hope's in your mind. If you pray for His leading in all things, he will direct your path. If Your desires and hopes come from him, he will make them happen, in his time. There may be other lessons you need to learn first.

If your finances aren't there, then you are not ready, or you have set your sights too high, like buying a home, vs. renting a suitable place. Perhaps God is teaching you about stewardship. Hardly ever do we receive a chunk of money, but we are taught how to be good stewards of his provision.
