Hello Prayer Warriors,

I want to begin by saying how truly grateful I am to be part of this community. I’ve asked for prayer here before, and I have seen God move in powerful and undeniable ways. For that, I thank you all.

Today, I’m asking for prayer for my marriage.

My husband endured a very traumatic childhood. His mother was absent, and his father was in and out of jail while struggling with addiction. During that time, his father’s girlfriend helped care for him and his brother, but she was both verbally and physically abusive. Those wounds have never fully healed.

We’ve been together since high school—he is my first and only love. For 20 years of marriage, I have tried my best to love and support him, but I’ve come to understand that healing is something only he can choose for himself.

We share five beautiful children who we both love deeply, but our relationship with each other has become very strained. At this point, we live in separate bedrooms just to maintain peace in our home.

My husband is struggling with alcohol addiction and often treats me in ways that are deeply hurtful. I still see the man he could be—he is intelligent, handsome, and full of potential—but it feels like his past continues to hold him captive. Despite all we’ve overcome together, he hasn’t found peace within himself.

I am asking for prayer that he would awaken from his pain and truly seek healing. I love him deeply, but I also recognize that I cannot continue in this state forever. We need a supernatural intervention.

Please also pray for me—that I would remain strong in my faith as a wife and mother, and that God would guide me in how to move forward with wisdom, strength, and grace.
