I work for a not for profit that provides much needed services for individuals with severe special needs. We are currently in a state of turmoil - weak, self serving leadership that does not value the incredibly talented staff who work for embarrassingly low wages is causing many people to leave. I see the services we provide to some of God's most challenged individuals being compromised as well the health and safety of the remaining staff members. I get out of bed each day and go back because I believe that I am doing what God is calling me to do, but I find I am doing it with a heavy heart these days. I ask for prayers that the focus of our leadership returns to the individuals we serve, that God will remain with all of us that show up everyday to guide and protect us and for my own personal strength and understanding that His work is not always easy.
