Please help me in praying for a dear friend, Steve. He has been battling cancer. I was notified from his wife, Joyce, that he has taken a turn for the worse the last 3 weeks. Joyce has had to call hospice in to manage his pain. She says he is not doing well at all, having to be taking him in & out of the ER the last 2 weeks. Please, please, please help me in praying for Steve, & for Joyce as she stands strong by his side.

Joyce & Steve are more than just friends to me, they are like parents. God placed them in my life during my darkest times of my life. They were the ones who helped me in seeking God & knowing Jesus when I needed Him the most. They saw me through my biggest transition of my life from coming out of an abusive marriage w/an alcoholic, to getting out, leaving that life, & relocating to start a new & better life for me & my kids. I don't know where I would be now (not ever having any family support) if God hadn't put us to cross paths w/each other. I know this is probably a lot I have shared. I just want everyone to know just how special they are to me & my children.

Would u please say this prayer w/me:
Dear Jesus, Divine Physician and Healer of the Sick, we turn to You in this time of illness.
O dearest Comforter of the troubled, alleviate our worry and sorrow with Your gentle love,
and grant us the grace and strength to accept this burden of cancer.
Dear God, we place Steve under Your care and humbly ask that You restore Your servant to health again.
Above all, grant us the grace to acknowledge Your holy will and know that whatever You do,
You do for the love of us.
Amen.
