Heavenly, Most Loving, Gracious Father, I come before you to humbly ask that you be my shelter in the midst of the storm, that you walk beside me every step of the way.
Give me strength, dear God, to carry on when I am down and out and have no one to turn to.
Give me a keen understanding, a retentive memory, and the ability to grasp things correctly and fundamentally.
Grant me the talent of being exact in my explanations and the ability to express myself with thoroughness and charm.
Point out the beginning, direct the progress, and help in the completion. I ask this through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
