My friend Beth is back to being my former friend. I should have seen that coming. She called me around Easter of this year, after having cut off contact with me around Easter 2023. She said she and her husband agreed that I was too negative and that her relationship with me was causing problems in her marriage. I didn't understand how. Before she cut off contact with me, she said she would only call me every 2 or 3 days instead of every day. I was really surprised when she said she would have to end the relationship totally.

This time again she first started calling me every 2 or 3 days, and then the last time we talked, she said she would call me in a week. She called before the week was up, but only to say she was ending our friendship.

I don't let it mess with my mind. I think she will still be in a bad place even without my influence, because she has many health problems. The one that seemed to me to be the most serious was chronic pain in her back, 24/7. I have recurrent back pain, and I feel like a whole different person when I am in pain. I don't know what I would do if I never got relief from my pain. Fortunately, most of the time I am not in pain.

I still ask for prayers for me to feel OK and handle my life problems successfully. After that, I ask for prayers for Beth. I don't expect to ever hear from her again, but I am not taking it personally. I think she also would be a whole different person if she were not in pain.
