My sister has been battling different forms of cancer since her late 20's. She is currently suffering from chemo induced leukemia. Although some chemo treatments are effective in destroying cancer cells (hers was recently in her lungs and she never smoked a day in her life), they also take a horrible toll on your blood. She is a treatment once a week right now that consists of a cocktail of 4 different chemo drugs and all very potent. They are trying this as nothing else has helped. She has had this type of leukemia before and came through it and went into remission only to have cancer back again within months. She is one of the strongest optimistic people I know with all she has gone through but this time she is feeling defeated and wondering if this time she may not pull through the battle. Please pray for her and whatever God's plan is for her that she come through without much more pain and suffering. She is now 52 and has looked forward to being 55 and start working part time and traveling some. I pray that she will be able to realize these dreams.
