It's been seven years since I was treated for small cell lymphocytic lymphoma (SCLL). I discovered a rather large swollen gland in my neck a few weeks ago--a sign that it may have returned. My blood work is clear, so far so my doctor wants to see me every three months instead of every 6. She says if the swelling does not get too large and unsightly there may be nothing to worry about. I do not want my mother to have to go through two of her children needing treatment as my sister is currently going through ups and downs of her second set of treatment for a related type of leukemia. I have been blessed not to have any symptoms as for most people have a return of the disease in five years.

Please pray for my husband. His business is not doing well, this summer and he has those demons from being a Vietnam War vet. Pray that I stay free of lymphoma. Praise God my last check up was clear. Pray for my sister who has leukemia and lost her job so she has no health care. Pray for my friend Stephen who needs a job to feed his children. Pray that his testimony after these trials will help bring others to Christ. Pray for the November Kairos Prison Ministry team and the 42 residents it will serve. Pray that my youngest sister gets it together and gets her boys back in church.
