I would ask that anyone and everyone pray for me and my dog. I read Amanda Miller's situation and prayed for her and her situation is a lot like mine. I have a rescue dog I got three years ago. He is eight now. He is a 120 lb lab/shepherd mix. We just moved from a house in Arizona to a condo in Dallas and have been here 12 days. He is not adjusting well and my landlord and the HOA have notified me that they have received several complaints about his excessive barking when I am not here. He does have a backyard big enough for him but it is attached to other backyards and is considered a "limited common area" in which dogs are not allowed to be kept. He has always been an outdoor dog, coming in to sleep in my room at night. I can't go anywhere, even to the grocery story, and he barks the whole time I am gone. I will start work in a little over a week and will be gone for eight hours. I got him a bark collar today even though that is the last thing I wanted to do. It does work, but it breaks my heart seeing him flinch when he barks. And he still goes crazy when left outside for longer than 15 minutes. He scratches and jumps against the sliding glass door. My plan is to just keep him in my room when I start working, as I cannot keep him in the general house, as I also have three rescue cats and he doesn't get along with cats. My concern with leaving him in my room is that he will chew through the door. Please pray as the Spirit leads. I just can't afford to move again and can't and won't take him back to a shelter. We have really bonded and he loves me so much. Thank you all so much!
