I've felt that way before too. I've found the Holy Bible app very helpful with so many plans and the daily scripture reminder. As for a Bible that is easier to understand I've found the NIV or NLT versions to be easiest for me. You could look up a few scriptures and search different versions to see which ones make sense to you. I also like having a Women's Daily Devotional book, it has different scriptures daily and after reading it I follow up with reading further in the Bible for the scriptures mentioned. Best of luck 🙏🏻.
