I origianlly filed for SSDI in January 2012. I was denied and appealed, and went to court June 12th 2013 with a attorney. I recieved a call from Social Security on June 28th informing me the judge gave me a fully favorable approval! I recieved the Decision letter a few days later. I had some questions so i called Social Security today and they told me " you should recieve a award letter within 60 days of your decision letter then it will take 60-90 days from the award letter before you recieve your first check"--REALLY?? It has been a long long time just going through this process. According to her statement i shoulnt recieve my first check until between the end of October and the end of November!!! We (my husband and i) are trying to live on $174 a week of his unemployment--- this is unreal!!!---My attorney told me I had only a 50/50 chance of winning since I had minimal medical records and he also said it can take 60-90 days before I hear a decision--well- I did get approved and it only took 16 days after hearing to get my approval letter. So--I know God is able--PLEASE pray this process will be expedited and God will show us favor and open doors to carry us through until my payments come! Thank You for your prayers!!
