I have two things I would like to offer prayers for regarding my current situation. Firstly, a prayer of thanks. Two years ago I was unemployed and in psychiatric hospital with severe depression, but a few months later I on I found work on a full time casual basis in my current team. This has gone so well with my depression managed really well that there is a chance I will be made permanent soon. However in order to be made permanent, I have to go through a competitive application process that is open to anyone to apply. A job that matches my current role (including the responsibilities I gained by accident) has been posted. Furthermore, I was the replacement while my current manager was on maternity leave, and I am the only possible applicant with this background. My second prayer is a prayer that I will not only be made permanent, but will have sufficient humility during the application and interview process so I neither rest on my laurels or become arrogant.
