I am feeling really confused about what happened earlier this year in the situation you know I am referring to. I pray that you will be able to open up lines of communication or assist me with letting the confusion go.

I pray not for myself but that your spirit will move within and touch the hearts of our political leaders in Australia so that we can find a compassionate response to asylum seekers, and that your spirit may also touch the hearts of those living in Australia so that they can see the fear based rhetoric we are given in the media for what it really is.

I would like to offer a prayer of thanks. I know that God really does walk with us through the difficult times., even if we are difficult to be with during those times. Amen.

A few weeks ago I asked for prayer regarding a job opportunity at work. Thank you sincerely to all those that prayed. I have found out that I was successful in my application and have been offered a permanent position. Thanks be to God! Amen.

I have two things I would like to offer prayers for regarding my current situation. Firstly, a prayer of thanks. Two years ago I was unemployed and in psychiatric hospital with severe depression, but a few months later I on I found work on a full time casual basis in my current team. This has gone so well with my depression managed really well that there is a chance I will be made permanent soon. However in order to be made permanent, I have to go through a competitive application process that is open to anyone to apply. A job that matches my current role (including the responsibilities I gained by accident) has been posted. Furthermore, I was the replacement while my current manager was on maternity leave, and I am the only possible applicant with this background. My second prayer is a prayer that I will not only be made permanent, but will have sufficient humility during the application and interview process so I neither rest on my laurels or become arrogant. I have a bathroom renovation happenning in my flat so I have had to move out of home. I got a note today saying all unfinished renovations will stop after 20 December and won't re-start for another month. If this happens to me I won't be able to live at home until February. This is causing enormous stress. Please dear Lord I ask that mine will be finished before the break. Amen.

Dear Lord,

Thank you that you have blessed me with the discovery of an exercise program that has helped me lose one trouser size this past month. Please give me the motivation to keep my new health hobby as a daily habit as long as I can.

Dear Lord, I have had some problems with a close friend who was abusive to me (although he claims this was inadvertent) and need some discernment as to what the best way forward is, whether it's best to continue the friendship or not. Amen.

I'd like to pray a prayer of thanks. God has taken me from being in a locked psychiatric facility at the start of last year to a new career in a great organisation, and now I have started studies to become a librarian. Praise to Him! Amen.

Dear Lord Jesus,

I'm recovering from some side effects of medication that I'm on. I pray for a successful recovery and patience while waiting. Thank you for all that have been concerned for me.
