My brother Mike was diagnosed with throat cancer a year ago November went through radical throat cancer surgery where they slit under his jaw ear to ear and broke his jaw to remove the thumb size cancer and 13 affected lympnodes. From that point he had 33 radiation treatments that ended last June. He has a feeding tube that is his main line to life to take liquid food and meds through. He has been smoking and now putting alcohol in his feeding tube self medicating on top of pain meds. Unfortunately, he isn't taking his meds nor feeding himself instead wants to die and using mostly wine and cigarettes that literally takes his breath away since he has significant emphysema and is on oxygen. Recently developed a marble size cancer node in his right lung yet he received 3 cyberknife surgery to vaporize it. Unfortunately, he lives in the basement of my 90 and 93 year old Mom and Dad where he has been living for decades and they took him back home from rehab last June. Every time my Mom and I have a remedy really a miracle provided from God to save him from cancer he is undoing everything we have done to help him. We are literally watching him self destruct and kill himself. Yesterday he lost his feeding tube and Mom calls me asking at 6:30 PM if his Doctor is available I said all Doctors leave at 5:00 PM so she and Dad spent last evening waiting for Mike to get another feeding tube put in. He subjects himself to more pain like this all the time. He needs professional help now that he is drinking every day and smoking that causes cancer and the mess he is in. He also needs a psychiatrist for his mental health in dealing with his medical crisis to get well again. I just wish he would quit his addictions and help himself get well again and I pray that God intervene on my parents behalf to give them peace of mind at their age that they so deserve. So please pray for God's intervention as Jesus Christ gives my brother an apithome of what he must do out of respect for his parents and giving them peace of mind to quit his addictions and turn his health around. He isn't giving his body the nourishment it needs because he is drinking and therefore his body is eating his vital organs. He weighs 112 pounds now. I just ache for my parents because he will kill them first before he dies.
