Prayer Request
please pray for me . I decided to stop drinking alcohol and suddenly I lost friends and I feel lonely . I know God is with me that's where I find my comfort. I just need a sign a Word a dream a meeting so I know what to do next .. I spent 3 days off just lying in bed lost but with so many projects to do . .some days are better than others . but I am grateful each day ... maybe I'll take a walk tomorrow God willing

first of all congratulations!! i'm at 6 months now myself- it's a day by day thing for sure-- i'm gonna pray for you and offer a bit of advise-- they say God helps those who help themselves so get outta bed dress yourself & get moving- something to get the day started - a meeting or going for a coffee/walk outside - anything to start moving- make a schedule for yourself so you have some regularity - follow it as best you can and praise yourself for what you get done-- do not focus on what did not get completed just accept the best you have to give each day & vow to do your best tomorrow as well - even God didn't choose to do it all in one day and if anyone could have it would have been Him LOL i've relapsed too many times by negative self talk- we talk to ourselves so harshly when we should be our own best friend - you would be supportive of a friend in your position so be kind to yourself as well-- also as you have heard in meetings being of service is very therapeutic- takes you mind off your problems- plenty of volunteer work out there and besides taking you mind off your situation it gives you purpose- regarding the absence of "friends" this will be hard but if they are only around for the party are they really truly friends? God has removed them for a reason- there are people on their way into your life that will have much to teach you & much to learn from you and yes some will actually qualify as true friends- the friends you need at this point on your path-- and as to the loneliness it might be more of a hollowness (in my case anyway) and that's why the schedules, positive self talk & service to others help- may God bless you & keep you-- reach out if you like-

You’ll meet friends at AA meetings. Go to many and socialize!! They are/ were in the same boat I’m sure. Prayers🙏

Try to do something that really makes you happy. Those friends who left you are not real friends. God bless you always
