My husband has been struggling with alcoholism and is trying to quit. I pray that he will turn to God for strength and to take away his desire for it. I pray he will draw closer to God for everything. He will pray without ceasing!!! I pray that my husband will know that he alone cannot do it without God’s help and to lean on people as well. Our strength comes from the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I pray he will start reading the Bible and learning scripture to put the full armor of God.
It’s been a rough 6 months of constant drinking. It’s changed him that he’s bitter and lashes out on everyone. He has lost his job a year ago and is depressed. The drinking has intensified it. I have told him to humble himself and just get anything ( no liquor places) to get him around people. I know sitting idle has really plagued him. Pray for a job/quit drinking. Thank you Lord for loving us even as flawed people. I know you can fix our broken souls. ABBA FATHER please heal his head, heart, and soul.
