Prayer Request
I am physically disabled now, unfortunately, but just found out a couple months ago that I was approved for benefits. The issue is I have not heard anything back about where payments are going to go. I have not been able to pay rent in 4 months, and the landlord is really on me about it. Even opening my mail! I’m trying not to be stressed, give it all to Him, but it’s so hard to do when I feel like I’m walking on eggshells right now. Please pray for me…stress makes Lupus worse. I am already in a flare-up. 😣

it can take a few months to process the payments along with any back payments they owe you. But please call SS tomorrow and ask them. They can give you the status of your payments. I don't know if you can make it to your local SS office, but when you're on the phone, tell them you are 4 months behind on your rent and that your landlord is upset. They can often issue an emergency amount--not all of it, but up to a certain amount. But you have to pick it up in person. Don't wait another day--get on the phone tomorrow.
