Is your dad a veteran by any chance? My dad is 93 and is also in stage 4 kidney disease. He keeps going every day! It is amazing. I found out as a veteran he qualified for non service related pension. He gets almost $2000 more per month and is able to stay in his home! He also receives 10 hours a week in free care from the VA. I pray your dad is a veteran. He would be eligible for all kinds of benefits. Sad the VA doesnt tell people about this. He gets 40 plus hours a week in care and also through the department of Aging receives another 165 hours of free care. That's over a month of care for him. Check into these benefits if your dad is a veteran. All he needs to be is over the age of 60, served ONE day war time and served at least 90 days and got out with an honorable discharge. Good luck! If he passes away (certainly hope not!) your mom would be eligible to receive benefits because she would be the spouse of a deceased veteran. I hope they both live long and healthy lives. God Bless you!

Please have your sister always get a 2nd opinion. I too had breast and cervical cancer and am a 22 year survivor. All because I went to John's Hopkins. 2nd opinions can't hurt. God Bless you.
