God love your heart and that of your son. My Mom passed away 15 years ago this next Feb. 8th so I do know your heartache. I pray your guilt and that of your dear son's will subside quickly ~ it was your Mom's time to join our Father in heaven. All of us are on this earth for a certain number of days/years ~ death is unpredictable. The comfort I found in my Mom's death was that when she passed away, she was blind ~ now I know she can see and is holding my first child that I never got to see or hold until I join them. I use to be terrified of death ~ now, I know who waits for me and my fear of death is gone. I send you gentle hugs and prayers for comfort. Your Mom's love for you and your son is tucked inside your hearts ~ embrace the good memories you have.
