Prayer Request

Made the mistake of using a credit card last year when my son's medical bills skyrocketed and items were required that were not covered by his insurance. Gauze rolls, saline - 12-15 used each dsg change three times a day! This lasted for from September thru mid November. Each gauze roll was $7-12 (depending on the size - arms took smaller ones, torso took larger ones). I was averaging $360 a day just in gauze. Before it was over my card was topping around $30,000. I have gotten it down to less than $17,000 now, but the interest still runs almost $250 a month. I thank the Lord that my son's ordeal is over and we had a way to get the supplies once out of the hospital, and that I had a card available to help. I thank the Lord for a nursing job that allows me to pay our bills. I have taken a $3000 chunk out by applying it to an interest free card for 15 months and plan to keep doing that as I get the interest free one paid off. I just ask for the strength and wisdom to find our way through to the end of this debt. Thank-you all for your prayers! (For the curious - my son went swimming at the beach - developed a rash behind one knee. Trips to the pediatrician, the ER several times, urgent care walk-in clinics, etc... We received cortisone creams, antibiotics, etc... The rash gradually spread and affected his ability to straighten his legs resulting a rolling chimpanzee type walk. It spread with each new treatment. Eventually covered his toes to his thighs, his torso, arms and occasionally spots on his ears & neck. We eventually landed in Children's Hospital in New Orleans - never was diagnosed. The IV fluids running through his system for a few days in the hospital seemed to help. We were discharged to a dermatologist who biopsied one of the areas and it came back as an allergic rxn. She insisted it was from an antibiotic, but he had the rash before the antibiotics. Anyway, wet to dry dsgs at home three times a day for 2 1/2 months. So grateful it's over. Wish I knew what it was, because now when I see any skin discoloration on him my heart jumps, lol. Again, thank you all for your prayers as I continue to try to pull us out of this debt. I believe in prayer!
