God of might and mercy , with al Thy children I come before Thee this afternoon, exalting Thee as my Father & Preserver, as my Rock, my Fortress and my Deliverer. Do not consider my many sins and shortcomings, but graciously forgive them for the sake of my beloved Redeemer Jesus Christ. Let Thy Holy Spirit always dwell within me that I may overcome all temptations to yield to unbelief and worldliness and let him put pure wholesome thoughts and desires in my heart. In the manifold dangers that surround us grant Thy strong protection to all who trust in Thee. Hear the cries of Thy children where ever they may live. Relieve the distress of those that are ill and hungry; check wars and let peace prevail on earth so that Thy Holy Gospel may be preached in every nation ...... This I ask in the name of Thy Son Jesus Christ our Lord
