I was on retirement for two years and somehow, my skills waned due to my retirement. However, one of my former bosses asked me to help her in a work that was made difficult by a very short deadline. I hesitated to accept the assignment because I know that I had not been practicing my skills for two years. I was at the verge of making excuses (sort of saying that I have a sickness), but that is not me. So, I kept trying my best to do the work, but nothing worked. I went to the chapel several times and prayed, tried to improve my work, but I was never getting close. In my desperation, I requested my maid and caregiver of my father to pray for me. I explained honestly what my problem was. And when they said they will pray for me, I went upstairs and continued the work. Like a miracle, everything went clear and easy for me. I felt that a spirit was helping me. I cried and thank the Lord and also gave bonuses to the two people who prayed for me. I never believed that prayers of others work. I thought that God listens to me when I pray for myself but prayers from others (for me) are not helpful. I was wrong....and how beautifully God showed to me how wrong I was. My work, by the way was commended as excellent. Of course, I think it was God who did it.
