God had back and I didn't even know it. my faith was changed on this day.
I worked 2nd shift in a nursing home in my town. I drove an old beat up van (nicknamed the war mobile) . I was constantly putting money into it just to keep it running, until I could afford something else.
One evening as I was leaving work, I turned the corner in the parking lot and felt a slight bump. Not paying attention I just kept on going thinking it was just another fix it thing on the van.
I was getting ready to turn onto a road that would take me out of the parking lot. There are several ways to getting home ... one being a busy highway or two a road thru town.
So I turned to the right and drove slowly down the street and all the sudden I heard a voice telling me not to go on the highway tonight and take the road thru town.
I remember thinking is there someone here? I looked in my back seat and saw no one. Ahhhh Ok its God! I began questioning God why do I go that way the road is windey and traffic is terrible.
Finally at the turn I decided to go the road thru town. Making note telling God "see the traffic is terrible". I continued to drive home thru town. Once I got home and got out of my van, I looked back said Wow that was weird" The next day I got in my van to go somewhere and as I began to back out I heard.... thump thump thump. I had to pull back into my parking place and get out to see my right front tire was SO flat I was driving on the rim. I then realized if I had taken the highway I most likely would have broken down or even got into an accident.
God was protecting me and I am glad I listened. Even today I sometimes question the situation but always remember when he took care of me then. I know he is in control even if I don't always see the results right away.
