I find it helpful to memorize scripture for times that I don't have enough will power of my own. 1 Corinthians 10:13 says: "No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it." This one is a good one...there are others that may speak to YOU, personally, but this one is GOLDEN to me! 1 Corinthians 9:27 says, also, "But I discipline my body and keep it under control..."

Hello! God's graces and mercy be with you!! If I may, I would like to gently remind you of what God says in Deuteronomy 18:10-14: "There shall not be found among you anyone who burns his son or his daughter as an offering, anyone who practices divination or tells fortunes or interprets omens, or a sorcerer or a charmer or a medium or a necromancer or one who inquires of the dead, for whoever does these things is an abomination to the Lord. And because of these abominations the Lord your God is driving them out before you. You shall be blameless before the Lord your God, for these nations, which you are about to dispossess, listen to fortune-tellers and to diviners. But as for you, the Lord your God has not allowed you to do this." Please be very careful about what you put your faith in.

I pray that if you cannot avoid negative people that you see it as an opportunity for personal growth in the Lord in patience.
