I have been diagnosed with breast cancer, and I am scared of surgery andhaving such trouble making decisions about a single or double mastectomy and reoccurrence or new cancer what the right choice is. I’m also really scared about running out of money, so many unexpected expenses as well as what Insurance doesn’t cover. And then there’s recovery and all the work that has to be done before then.I know I’m lucky in so many ways, to have insurance, to have retirement funds and house that I can sell, but it just feels like hardship after another after another keeps happening. I am so weary right now, Lord, and I can hardly stand up, let alone think straight. Please help.

Dear Lord, help me find strength, stability and sanity as I move through this cancer surgery and recovery. Help me to see and feel how lucky I am and to remember to have faith in you that all of the worry about finances lost pay, and insurance are simply unknowns that will work out in the long run. Thank you for this journey. Thank you for all things. Amen.

Please pray that the cancer shrinks into nothing. Please pray and feel joy for me for recovery, for the time I am living stronger ands more energized than ever. Thank you God for all the blessings and support. Help me find the calm, strength and joy I’ll need to get through all of this.

Please pray that my health will be fully restored. That it hasn’t spread. That I can see and feel a cancer free life full of energy, wisdom and love. Please pray that support and helpers show up for me. I pray that I can use this experience for good. Lord I honor you. Amen.

Please pray for us, that I won’t jump to conclusions or be misguided. Lord bring us clarity, trust and faith.

Please pray for our pets a as we integrate our households, that they release their fear and aggression and find joy in each other’s company.

Please pray for discernment, prayers that we will take a path that carries us toward joy and God’s love. And that we will feel that as we go. Prayers that we will feel worthy and remember to be grateful. That we are not alone. Amen.

Heal our hearts, my heart, Lord. Protect the vulnerable. Lord let me be an instrument of your peace. Praying for everyone in Minneapolis, praying for our country, and the world. Please help me find comfort tonight.

Please help me work with my family. It always feels like they always assume the worst of me. I want a relationship and approval I’ll never get, but help me feel steady and strong, heal my pain Lord. Help them with their pain and to really see me.
