Hi Ruby. I also understand how you feel. I've been reading the Bible since 1985. I've read different versions and found I tend to stick with the NIV Study Bible. It puts the Bible in easy-to-understand English and explains many verses. As Melissa and another person suggested, there are audio apps you can download. and are also available on websites if you use a laptop or desktop computer. Although I've been reading the Bible since 1985, it seems every time I read it, I learn something new that I didn't see or understand before. Good luck.
