Dear Lindsay, I am so sorry you are lonely. I don’t have any friends either and I’m old. I do have a husband but we are both old and afraid to die. I will pray for you Lindsay. Dear Lord, please heal Lindsay’s lonely heart. Please make your spirit accessible to her, let her have a miracle of sorts to prove to her you are with her everyday. I understand. I am the same. I cried out to God and he has soothed me. I also posted a prayer on my echurch and prayers did help me. Ask God to bring you new friends. Go often into the secret place. Worship him. I remember feeling so irritated when I was lonely and someone told me to do that but it does help so much, trust me. xx I will pray for you.

I have been living by myself, and being in a different country is challenging, firstly I look different from them. Secondly, I might have different values from them. I often feel that way because I am alone, and I feel anxious about people. Even I am with my friends, I think something is lacking. I pray to God to get me through it to find peace. I understand it is hard to be alone. I listened to motivational videos; there was a topic that focused on this, " We can choose to be happy or sad; it just depends on how we react." It is hard to practice it, but I always think that somewhat it might work. You are not alone. A lot of people are experiencing that way, including me.

I'm so sorry Lindsay. Yes, it can be lonely particularly now but, it doesn't have to be. Pull in to God and seek His presence. He is always with you and He'll never forsake you. I'm often alone in the physical but I know that Jesus is with me in the spiritual. He is with you also. If you are in need of physical company though, you may look into joining a local church "small group". Or a hobby group. I will be praying for you.

Praying for you to feel comfortable enough to go out and gain confidence through meeting people and developing all different kinds of friendships.

Lindsay--I'd advise you to get out into the community. You can meet people through volunteering (lots of places can use volunteers--non profit organizations, churches, the library, the hospital, etc) It doesnt have to be for a huge time commitment but it helps you to circulate and get to know others---this is how many friendships start. Give it a try!
