I've always had the same fear and I understand. Remind yourself that any discomfort you might feel will only be temporary. At one time or another, you probably fell and hurt yourself and the pain lasted for days. You overcame that--so you'll be able to handle any discomfort at the dentist that will only last a few minutes. Telling myself these things helps me. I hope it will help you. Good luck.
