Thanks again for prayers for me and my loved ones, especially my nephew and his cats. This is a difficult situation. One of our strays brought a kitten up on the deck one day last week. The kitten was perky and quite friendly. We brought her into the house, where she explored the kitchen and dining room. The next morning she was dead. My nephew blames my husband and me for the kitten's death. He says the photo I sent him shows the kitten too healthy to have died of natural causes. If I had known he would react that way, it's not just that I wouldn't have told him of the kitten's death but that I would never have told him of the kitten's existence. I expected him to be sympathetic. All 4 of the kittens in his cat's first litter died within a month of birth, even though only the runt looked unhealthy. I understood that looking healthy was not a guarantee of actually being healthy.
