I understand and know the pain and loss you are feeling. Cola was my constant companion/best friend until she passed at 14. Give yourself the time you need to grieve your friend. Our Heavenly Father loves us and our friends, dog, cat, horse whatever they may be. You will know when that time comes for a new friend. It took years for the grief process for me personally. My son and his wife gave me a puppy on Valentine's Day this year It has been 6 years now since Cola Bear passed. This lil ball of energy is pure love, named Shadow. She is a rescue adopted German Shepherd/Alaskan husky. I had asked God if it was time for another dog friend months before she came.
