Prayer Request

Please God, grant me the strength to get through these troubling times. My husband had an affair, fathered a child with the woman and then left me for them. We've moved past that. However, I am faced now with the prospect of losing my home. Moving forward with a divorce, the state will only grant a custodial parent so much from the non-custodial parent. We have two children, one who is now 18. I understand that once a child reaches 18 support is no longer provided for them, even if they are still a full time student and not working. So that leaves me with support for only one child. I do not know if I will qualify for spousal support for a 15 year marriage (we are still only separated so that would make this year the 17 year mark). I only make so much a year and depend on money from my ex to make sure my children have a home and food. However I am faced with not only losing my home but the inability to provide care for my two boys, even with what the state says my ex should pay. I have a place to go to live but my youngest does not want to live there (nor would i force him to, considering the school system there isn't as good as where we live now). He's got two years left of h.s. and I am trying so very hard to ensure he doesn't have to transfer. I do not want to lose my children. But I do not make enough to support them. I don't know what to do. A mother shouldn't have to be faced with giving up her children because her husband walked out on them to start a 'new' family. Please God, let me be able to keep my children and provide for them. They are such an important part of my life. It is not their fault that we are in this mess. Please God, give me the strength to face these issues head on and not lose everything. God, please, I beseech thee, let my ex find a new job before his current one ends (construction quality control and the project is nearing the end). Please let things work out so my kids can stay under my roof, and that I still have a roof to provide. If I have to give up my home, please God, let my father take us in and help us out. I need the support of my family so much right now. I'm scared. I'm terrified. I don't want to lose it all, especially my children.

On another note, thank you God for a good friend of mine to enter back into my life. It's a bright spot amongst the clouds that I am truly grateful for.
