Prayer Request
I’m asking for prayer for my sweet niece, who will be four next month. We have not seen her since she was two, and the separation has been incredibly painful for our family. Her mother relocated out of state and is pursuing steps that would sever my brother’s parental rights. This has left us heartbroken.
We are praying for restoration that our relationship with our niece would be restored and that we would have the opportunity to regularly be in her life. We long to see her, enjoy her, watch her grow, and pour into her the love that has always been there for her.
She is a beautiful biracial child living in a place where she may not often see reflections of herself. We pray that she feels deeply rooted in identity, belonging, and love. That she would know, even from afar, that her family loves her, misses her, and is covering her in prayer.
We pray for her safety, her protection, and her emotional well-being. And we pray that God would soften hearts, remove bitterness, and make a way for reconciliation and healing in a way only He can.
Amen.

Dear Akia, I say “Amen” to your prayer in Jesus name 🙏🏾There absolutely nothing too hard for Him to do. And I pray He will hear you, as the one standing in the gap, and restore, renew and break every barrier the enemy is trying to erect 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
Heavenly Father,
We lift Akia Ronai and her beloved niece into Your gentle, sovereign hands. You see every moment of distance, every birthday missed, every memory they longed to make but could not. You know the ache of a family separated, and You hold every tear they have cried in Your care.
Lord, we pray for this beautiful little girl—turning four soon, full of promise, innocence, and light. Though she has been far from the arms that love her, she has never been far from their hearts. We ask that You surround her with protection, safety, and emotional peace. Let her spirit be guarded, her joy preserved, and her sense of belonging rooted deeply within her.
We pray especially for her identity as a biracial child in a place where she may not often see reflections of herself. Cover her with confidence, pride, and a strong sense of who she is. Let her grow knowing she is wonderfully made, deeply loved, and never alone. Even from afar, let her feel the warmth of the family who misses her, prays for her, and carries her in their hearts every day.
Father, we ask for Your intervention in the legal and relational barriers that stand in the way. Soften hearts. Remove bitterness. Break down walls that were built in pain or fear. Guide every decision, every conversation, every step in this process. Where there is conflict, bring peace. Where there is misunderstanding, bring clarity. Where there is hurt, bring healing. We pray for restoration—that the bond between Akia and her niece would be renewed, strengthened, and protected. Make a way for them to see her again, to be present in her life, to watch her grow, to laugh with her, and to pour into her the love that has always been hers. Open doors that no one can shut. Create opportunities for connection that only You can orchestrate.
Lord, we trust You with this child, with this family, and with the future You are shaping. Hold them close, steady their hearts, and let hope rise again.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen
Does your niece's mother use Facebook, Instagram, or other social media sites? If so (and if you do also), try contacting her through one of the sites. Explain to her that you don't want to get involved in her and your brother's relationship, but that you would still like to maintain a relationship with both her and your niece, as you care about her as well. Hopefully, treating her with kindness will encourage her to stay in contact with you. Hopefully your brother won't be upset about you befriending his ex, but if he is, explain to him why you are trying to establish a friendship with her. I will say a special prayer for all of you.
I'm praying God will bring her back to you and your family. I can only imagine how painful this matter is for you. Sadly, adults put little children in the middle of nonsense. God bless you all abundantly
Lifting you and your family up in prayer 🙏
